Daniel L Muñoz is currently beginning research on a dissertation on noise music in 21-century Los Angeles. His research interests span many topics such as music aesthetics, consonance and dissonance, new methods of musical analysis, intermedia theory, acousmatics, music and identity, sound art, audio culture, and noise. Daniel completed his master’s thesis, “Different Angles of Electroacoustic Music: France, Germany, Chile” at UC Riverside, and his undergraduate senior thesis “Scriabin: Composer, Philosopher, Mystic” at Cal State Fullerton. Daniel also composes on occasion. He has written works for string quartet, men’s chorus, and some electroacoustic works.
