Through my UCSC Ph.D., I hope to continue an academic career that incorporates performance, teaching, and research. As a Ph.D. student, my research interests center on issues of performativity, gender, and sexuality in the vocal music of early modern Italy and Spain. I also continue to be an active performer in choral and instrumental ensembles both at UCSC and in the San Francisco Bay Area.
