Biography, Education and Training

From making his first recording (bootlegging "Star Wars" thru the speaker at a drive-in movie from the front seat of his parents Ford Pinto) to designing and operating one of the Central Coast's longest standing and professional recording studios (Gadgetbox) on the west side of Santa Cruz, Andy has fostered a dedicated involvement with music and technology for many years.   Joining the UC Santa Cruz Music Center staff in 2024 has been a welcome addition to his life, and he is always eager for the opportunities to share his experience and excitement for the world of sound and music to anyone within earshot.

• recording engineer and music producer since 1999

• mixed and mastered over 2000 songs for commercial release

• worked with over 500 local bands, songwriters and artists 

• videographer and film producer specializing in multi-camera livestreaming and music video

• plays bass, guitar, and a few other stringed instruments with moderate levels of accomplishment
