Savanna Solian is a 5th year doctoral candidate at UC Santa Cruz. She has a masters degree in music from UC Santa Cruz and a bachelor's degree in psychology from UC Davis. Along with her popular music research which investigates around the Beatles through a feminist lens, she is currently working on her dissertation which focuses on race, gender, and cancel-culture with the artist Lizzo as a case study.
