Over the past decade, Ricardo has worked in arts administration at various institutions throughout the bay area, including as an Associate Registrar for the San Francisco Community Music Center, and most recently as both the Department Assistant and Graduate Advisor in the Music Department here at UC Santa Cruz. He also works as a freelance musician, performing primarily on drum set, and holds a bachelor of music (B.M.) degree in jazz studies from Sonoma State University, where he studied under the tutelage of George Marsh.
Job Description & Duties:
The Department Manager oversees all academic HR and personnel file actions, curriculum and leave planning, the department budget, and supervises all administrative staff, in partnership with the Department Chair.
