Graduate Studies in Music

The application period for entry in fall 2016 is now closed. Applications for fall 2017 will be avaiable October 1, 2016.

The Music Department offers three graduate degree programs:

The Master of Arts (MA) in Music with an emphasis in composition, ethnomusicology, or performance practice (including conducting).

The Doctorate of Musical Arts (DMA) in Music Composition with tracks in computer-assisted (algorithmic) composition or world music composition.

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Music with an emphasis in cross-cultural and interdisciplinary studies.
