The Fall 2024 deadline for applications to Music Department graduate programs is Thursday, December 14, 2023. For information on applying to our programs, please use the link to the left. Note that the Music Department only accepts applications for Fall Quarter.
The Music Department offers three graduate degree programs:
The Master of Arts (MA) in Music with an emphasis in composition, ethnomusicology, or performance practice (including conducting).
The Doctorate of Musical Arts (DMA) in Music Composition with tracks in computer-assisted (algorithmic) composition or world music composition.
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Music with an emphasis in cross-cultural and interdisciplinary studies.
