The UCSC Chamber Singers and Orchestra, conducted by Nicole Paiement, join forces to present an evening of music inspired by Italian lyricism. The program features music from revolutionary composer Claudio Monteverdi who paved the way to the Baroque sounds of Arcangelo Corelli's Concerto Grosso No. 8 (Christmas Concerto) and J. S. Bach's  Magnificat, a German work filled with Italian influences. Felix Mendelssohn's Italian Symphony, inspired by the colors and atmosphere of Italy, completes the program. With Patrice Maginnis, soprano, Rachel Rush, mezzo-soprano, Brian Staufenbiel, tenor, and Elliott Nguyen, baritone.

The Recital Hall open 30 minutes before curtain. (Ticket window opens 60 minutes before concert.)
