Poésie en Musique, an Evening of French Music

Join UCSC advanced choral ensemble, the Chamber Singers, and conductor Nicole Paiement for an evening of French choral music through the ages.

The evening will include the American premiere of Philippe Hersant's delicate Poèmes Chinois, featuring Michael McGushin at the piano; the rarely performed Messe des Morts by Marc-Antoine Charpentier; and the colorful Le chant des oyseaux by Clément Janequin.

The evening brings together many faculty performers including sopranos Greta Feeney-Samuels, tenor Brian Staufenbiel, and continuo player Linda Burman-Hall, along with guest artists mezzo-soprano Michele Rivard, baritone Elliott Nguyen, and Amy Brodo, continuo/cello.

$10 general admission

$8 seniors (62+)

$6 students w/ ID

Tickets will go on sale in October at santacruztickets.com, the UCSC Ticket Office, and the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium box office.

Doors open 30 minutes before curtain.
