Korean Traditional Music & Dance: Tradition and Creation from Korea National University of Arts

Master performers of the Korea National University of Arts present a performance of Korean traditional court music, folk music and dance, as well as new compositions by two of the Korea’s renowned composers, plus U.S. premieres of works by UCSC composers professor David Evan Jones and professor Hi Kyung Kim.

Faculty violinist Roy Malan and artist-in-residence Jeffrey LaDeur, piano, will perform a trio Dancing Sanjo, for gayageum, piano and violin.
 
Ensemble features Gayageum, Gemungo, Haegeum, Daegeum, Piri, Saeng-Hwang,  Ajaeng, Taepyungso, Samulnori and Dance.

Free admission.

Doors open at 7:00PM.
