On Monday 11/23, a performance workshop will be offered for instrumentalists in room 131 from 4:30-6:30.
Students are invited to perform in and observe a masterclass with Greer Ellison (UCSC flute faculty) as director, and Mickey McGushin and Colin Hannon as accompanists. For instrumentalists, particularly those preparing juries, this is an opportunity to perform publicly; to work through performance nerves and receive feedback and guidance. The performance workshop is open to all instrumentalists, and priority will go to students preparing for juries. This is also an opportunity for fellow musicians to observe unfamiliar repertoire, and to support peers and offer feedback.
Students playing juries accompanied by Mickey McGushin should sign up between 4:30 and 5:30. Players accompanied by Colin can sign up from 5:30-6:30. Those playing unaccompanied may sign up at any time.
