Mexican Folkloric Dance Concert

A concert of traditional Mexican music and dance honoring the Día de Los Muertos tradition and featuring Folklórico Santa Cruz, a community based non-profit dance troupe. The program will also feature performances by the UCSC Mariachi Ensemble and Grupo Folklórico Los Mejicas, UCSC’s long-standing folkórico dance troupe. 

This event is supported in part by a Springboard Grant awarded by the Industry Alliances & Technology Commercialization office of the University of California, Santa Cruz to Professor Olga Najera-Ramirez and her postdoctoral student Sarahi Lay and fulfills their commitment to hold public performances as a metric for measuring success of the project.

Doors open at 7:00PM.
Buses and campus shuttles stop at Porter/Rachel Carson College. 
Vehicle parking is available at the Arts parking lot (lot 126). Permit $5 from attendant in lot.
